A look at my inspirations, work and lace discoveries. I have been working as a textile designer/artist for over 10 years, I love experimenting with hand stitch techniques, and using them to manipulate and change fabrics. My work focuses on the transformation of discarded plastic bags, into an ethereal material called Eternal Lace. My work has been exhibited internationally, and two ’21st Century Ruffs’ were purchased by The Victoria & Albert Museum for their permanent Contemporary collection. I am inspired my historical dress. My work explores themes of anxiety and depression, and their physical manifestations. I love working on a commission basis, should you wish to discuss an idea or piece, please contact me below.
I am also mum to Scarlett and Isla, they don’t think I use enough pink in my work.
